Lari Jalbert is an art school dropout (NTS2016), a trans witch, multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker.
They focus on intuitive work, researching what can't yet be put in words and the translation from somatic experience to image. Lari is a trained costume and set designer who approaches the medium as a tool for storytelling and fantasy, but their craft goes from film, to puppetry, to music, to performance-art and installation.
They directed post_cunt in 2018, which traveled to Europe and the Us. They are now in the dreaming phase of a new film on their aging parents and home village. Lari is based in Tiohtià:ke so called montreal.

Lari Jalbert est un.x artiste trans et queer multidisciplinaire et réalisateur de film expérimentaux.
Son travail et sa recherche investiguent le corps comme lieu de subjectivité et la traduction du somatique à l’image. Sa pratique artistique est ancrée dans l’improvisation et s'étend de la performance rituelle, à l'art de la marionnette, et l'installation in situ. Iel a travaillé.x sur la direction artistique de plusieurs sci-fi queer et a réalisé post_cunt (2018) qui a voyagé en festival à travers l’Europe, le Canada et les États-Units.
Lari est un.x colon blanc qui demeure à Tiohtiake, soi-disant Montréal. Iel travaille sur un nouveau film sur la magie, la ruralité et son Village d'origine: Sainte-Brigitte-des-saults.
